April 2003

Tattoo of the Month for April 2003 goes to Greg Miller! Greg's tattoo was done by Carl Williams at Sin City Tattoo in Clarksville, TN and has a lot of meaning to Greg. He got this tattoo to commemorate the day he was shot in Afghanistan.  He received the Purple heart and the combat medic badge due to this incident and felt he should commemorate the event it somehow.

"The Dagger and the cross arrows symbolize Special Forces (I am a Green Beret) The Red Cross and the snakes (caudices) along with the laurel wreath symbolize the combat medic badge.  I had my team number put on the "ribbon" inside the red cross to further add meaning.  The purple heart medal is the main focus of the piece with a skull with broken jaw, (I was shot in the face and had my jaw broken). The blue angel wings symbolize the fact that there was definitely something watching out for me that day." Here is a post-op photo of Greg showing him doing fine now, thank god! Greg says he is now back on active duty and is ready to kick butt again. This is just one more reminder of what our troops sacrifice for us on a daily basis. They deserve our thanks, our support, and our highest respect...so let's make sure they know we are behind them!
