Biker Comments: "Eric, I have read you post with grave concern. Concern because it is very easy to spew out accusations seated behind a monitor and keyboard, it is a bit harder to make such slanderous statements and actually say who you really are.  I have been going to White Tiger for about three years now…I will continue to go to White Tiger as long as the doors are open. As I type this I am looking at seven awesome tattoos that Matt has done. I am also looking at two paintings that I have the privilege of hanging on the walls of my office, which are also Matt’s work. I also have two other tattoos that were wonderfully covered by Gypsy. With all this in mind, I can assure you that the pictures on Matt’s web site are not stolen. I know that at least seven of them aren’t because they are my tattoos. And I am sure that the rest are not because Matt is far too talented of an artist to need to steal someone else’s work. Now if you want the BEST tattoo you could ever get, go to White Tiger. The shop is very clean and efficiently run. The artists are of the finest and it’s simply the coolest place to get a tattoo or just hang out and chat with the friendly staff. But really it doesn’t matter what I say, the work at White Tiger speaks for itself. Don’t listen to Mr. Eric, and don’t listen to me for that matter, stop by White Tiger and see for yourself. You will find a very fun and professional staff and the best tattoo or piercing that money can buy. Oh, I seemed to have gotten of track…Mr. Eric if you truly believe the BS that you posted, you are either stupid beyond belief or an asshole…or maybe both!" Tat2Devil 9/7/03

"I had to make an apperance here to say, that the comments made by Eric 5/3/03, and Nun Ya 4/30/03, are completly false and out of line. These are some of the same lies brought by the person I fired for stealing from my studio, and her friends. Just because you are unable to legitmatly compete against us, does not give you the right to spread bogus claims like this. Every single picture of every single tattoo done by Matt, who works for me, *WAS* done by Matt, and the pictures were mostly taken by myself personally. Further more, every picture of every tattoo and piercing that is shown on the White Tiger Tattoos website, were ALL done AT WHITE TIGER TATTOOS & PIERCING IN AKRON, OHIO. It is obvious by the remarks made by these 2 people, that this is a week and feeble attempt to to try to gain something by knocking a very fine artist, and Akrons Permire Tattoo and Piercing Studio. If the person or persons responsible for posting these obnoxious statements, care to come out from behind there screen names, I would be more than willing to allow them to meet either with my attorney, Mr. R Ownes, Esq, of Akron, or if they perfere, myself in a dark ally some where. The good thing here is, you and everyone else in and around Akron knows that your statements are bogus. This sounds like the same whinning and crying I was hearing from Samantha and her friends, who I personally fired from White Tiger Tattoos for stealing from this studio, as well as stealing from our clients. You have claimed some very serious bogus crap here. So in return and in answer to your BS statements, I am offering you the same chance as we have offered every studio and artist in the area. It's pretty easy to claim that you're the BEST STUDIO around the Akron area. Hell, I hear it all the time from some people. Bad part is, I hear it from you people whose work we cover up and/or rework on a regular basis. I hear it from people working out of their basements, holding so-called tattoo parties in their basement, or kitchen. I've heard it from the so-called artists who dance in the nude bar at night, then use those same hands to tattoo or pierce out of her basement in the morning. I've heard it so damn much, that I'm sick and tired of hearing it. Unlimited Magazine calls us the best in Ohio. But don't take our word, or their word for it. We're willing to prove it. Anyone want to challenge that? So hear it is; but don't talk the talk unless you're willing to walk the walk. TO BE THE BEST YA GOT TO BEAT THE BEST. Do you have what it takes? We do. And we are willing to prove we are as good as we say we are. We will put the quality of our work up against anyone elses around here. Ya wanna play? Bring your tattoo studio license. In the old days we used to race for pink slips. Ya wanna run with the Big Dogs on the block? Time to put up or shut up I say. Loser leaves the N.E. Ohio area. Oh, ya say ya don't have a license to put up cause ya work out of your basement? Thats kewl too. Working out of your basement,  I know you can't have much, or else you'd have a studio and be legit. But tell ya what, BRING YOUR WALLET. But ya best make it worth our while.  Cause this ain't gonna be for some chump change. The rules are simple. You bring a client of your choice, as do we. You pick the design, any style you want. You and White Tiger both do the same exact tattoo on willing clients. 3 Independant Professional Tattoo Artists, from out of the state will judge the tattoos. One done by you, and one done by White Tiger Tattoos. Loser leaves NE Ohio. Now, if you want to talk smack, I guess you have the ability to do so and still hide behind your computer screen. "... i would like to comment on a mans named erics comment regarding artist matt .. i have known ma'at  for eight years and i have known his skills the same, ma'ats pictures are not stolen, this i know, i have watched him do many of those tattoos, and he is truly an artist. before he learned to tattoo  he was a painter and a sculpter.. i have his artwork on my skin and my walls. its a pretty low down thing to say that someone steals art! how do i know all this you ask? well thats because im his wife! we are separated so i am unbiased but i know the mans talent so fuck you eric!" ambrosia thornes 8/21/03

"I made the mistake of letting someone do a cheap tattoo in me about 2 years ago. It looked like crap since a week after it was done. One day my dad took me to a guy who did some work on him about 20 years ago, telling me if anyone could fix it, this guy could. Dad and I went to White Tiger Tattoos in Akron. My dad introduced me to this long haired artist (ok, he was kind of cute, for an older guy, hahaha). The guys name is Gypsy. And I am here to tell you, he is f***ing AWSOME. The difference is like night and day. he designed a beautiful tattoo for me that so completely covered the nasty Sh**e piece, you couldn't even tell it was a coverup. I love it. Gypsy if you were younger, I'd marry you. :) Thanks Dude. Since then, I have been back to let the dude pierce my belly button, my tongue, both nipples (sorry dad), and soon will let him pierce a few other things as well ;) Oh, and my dad has a back piece that this guy did 20 years ago, that still looks great. "Because my last tattoo experience was a disaster, I decided this time, to do a little more research before letting anyone tattoo me. I visited almost every tattoo studio in and around Akron. At each studio, I asked the same question "Who was the best artist in/around Akron, Ohio?" LOL, everyone told me that they were of course. I would then ask them who they thought was the second best artist in the area. Out of like 15 studios I asked, 12, or more, all said Tat-2 Gypsy, the owner of White Tiger Tattoos was the second best artist around. Wel, the way I figured it, if 12 other artists all said they were #1, and Gypsy was #2, then he must be pretty damn good. So I went to see this legend. When I walked in, I found a super clean studio, a bunch of younger artists, then an older gentleman, the legend himself, Tat-2 Gypsy. I showed him the mess on my arm, and asked him what we could do to cover it up. To male a long story short, he took several pics of the old mess, talked with me for a good hour, made a couple sketches to get a general idea of what I liked, and told me to come back in a week. A week later I was back, fell in love with the design he had worked out to cover the old mess. 3.5 hours later I walked out, and you would never even know I had an old tattoo under the new one. It's been over a year now, and it still looks brand new. Gypsy, you ARE the Tattoo God. Thanks man." Tom Hollenbeck 9/13/02
