Info from Dawn: "Tattooing is illegal in SC  ( still ), stupid old law , but the good news is that there are great shops in NC , not far from the SC state line. Go to the map page and click on NC ,you can get a safe legal tattoo from someone who is licensed and uses sterile methods , without driving for hours." 1/1/03

Info from Dean:  "Some of my best work was done in the great state of South Carolina by a fine gentleman & a good friend.  In fact, his lovely wife once stated that, as far as she could tell, my only redeeming quality was that my skin held ink well. It is, however, illegal to provide tattoo services in that state...falls under practicing medicine without a license somehow.  I would provide my friend's name to anyone looking for art in S.C., cuz he never much gave a rat's ass about that law, but he now lives in West By-God Virginia.  Anyone who's really looking, though, can find somebody willing to help them out with some needling.  If Stitch still owns Southern Scooters in Beaufort is still around, he's a man with a wide range of knowledge."
