Sturgis Rally 2000

There are lots of photos from this event so I have listed them in categories so the pages will load faster for you:

Babes - You must be over 18 to view the babes of Sturgis!

Bikes - A few of the cool bikes we saw.

Broken Spoke Saloon - Partying at the Broken Spoke on 8/10/00.

Buffalo Chip Campground - We stayed at the Buffalo Chip so we have quite a few pics from there.  Although I had heard that it was a bad place to stay we decided to try it anyway. To be perfectly honest...If you want to stay at a place that parties all night, where people spend the whole weekend naked, with kick-ass bands, and plenty of other stuff to keep you busy then the Chip is for you too! But if you are looking to go to bed early & are offended by nudity...better stay somewhere else. The ONLY downside to the Buffalo Chip is that: 1.) You can't potty after Monday unless you go down by the showers or leave the campground because the outhouses dispersed around the campground smell awful, 2.) There is only one shady spot on all those acres of land & someone is always in it! (Forget about putting up a canopy in that wind unless you have something huge to anchor it down with.), 3.) You can't shower in the morning unless you like cold water that literally just drips out of the facet. (But I'll let you in on a little secret...go at 6:00pm when it is empty, clean, has hot water, & great water pressure!).  I don't know if I would attempt another full week there but there is no way that I would go to Sturgis again without at least a couple of days at the Buffalo Chip!!

Full Throttle Saloon - Anyone who went to Sturgis this year did two things, 1.) Went to this great new gigantic biker bar & 2.) Sat in the horrendous traffic that lead up to the bar's entrance.  I have to say that this is the best biker bar or any other bar that I have ever been too.  We went both nights when it was free to get in the back. Thursday night (8/10/00) we went to see Jesse James Dupree of Jackyl & that show kicked ass. It ended with dozens of biker chicks on stage topless.

Hulett, WY - If you go to Sturgis, you MUST go to Hulett, WY (near Devil's Tower) on Wednesday. I saw a shirt there that sums it all up "One day in Hulett Is Better Than a Week in Sturgis".  So don't miss it next year! Ride up to Hulett & head out to the bridge leading into town, you won't regret it.  Just watch those cops on horseback who give random "example" tickets for burnouts & flashing (I think they were getting about 1 in 100 of those).

The Joy Ride - This ride left the Buffalo Chip Campground on Sunday (8/6/00) morning. We thought it would be great. $15 for the ride, a pin, a shirt, and lunch. What a deal, right? Wrong! Ok, the ride through the Black Hills was nice for about the first 2 hours (except that they took us straight through downtown Sturgis & thought they could keep us all together!). But, those leading the pack did not know where we were going, were so concerned with keeping us together that they went about 35/mph, never stopped to let us potty or get a drink for something like 3 hours, and didn't know a think about traffic control. When we finally made it to the Crazy Horse Memorial we were told there would be no lunch provided. A Joy Ride it was not! We left the pack & made our own ride on to Mt. Rushmore & through Deadwood.

Main Street - Brides, bikes, the tower, vendors, etc.

Other Stuff - Stuff I didn't know how to categorize!

Rhonda - My photo set....as promised! Don't look if you are related to me!! Don't look if you are under 18!! Otherwise...LOOK.
