Excursion Train Rides. The Midland
Railway operates excursion trains on a line originally constructed in
1867. Trains make a 11 mile round trip from "Baldwin City to Norwood,
Kansas", traveling through scenic Eastern Kansas farmland and woods using
vintage railway equipment. The Midland Railway is a completely
volunteer-staffed, non-profit, common carrier railroad operated to
preserve and display transportation history as an educational
demonstration railroad.
